Agreement
By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What this website is
This site describes the services of The Stewart Brokerage, an independent insurance brokerage licensed in Florida, Texas and Nevada. It is provided for general information only.
Nothing on this website is an offer of insurance, a quote, or a contract of insurance. Coverage exists only when a carrier issues a policy and that policy takes effect. The policy document and its schedule of benefits govern in every case — not anything written here.
No professional advice
Information on this site is not legal, tax, accounting or medical advice. Employer obligations under the Affordable Care Act, ERISA, COBRA and state law depend on facts we cannot know from a website. Consult your own advisors before making decisions for your business.
Illustrative figures
Any premiums, deductibles, savings percentages or plan comparisons shown on this site are illustrative examples, not quotes and not guarantees. Actual pricing depends on employee ages, ZIP codes, group composition, plan design, carrier underwriting and the state you operate in. Your results will differ.
Carrier names and logos
Carrier names, logos and trademarks shown on this site belong to their respective owners. They appear to indicate carriers whose products we may be able to quote. Their appearance does not imply that any carrier endorses, sponsors or is affiliated with The Stewart Brokerage. We are an independent broker. Carrier availability varies by state, county and group size.
How we are paid
We are compensated by insurance carriers through commissions built into the premium. Our consultation costs you nothing additional, and your premium is the same whether you enrol through us or directly with a carrier. [REVIEW: if you ever charge a separate broker fee, disclose it here and confirm state filing requirements.]
Licensing
The Stewart Brokerage is licensed to transact insurance in Florida, Texas and Nevada. We do not offer or sell insurance in states where we are not licensed. [REVIEW: add your license numbers for each state — several states require them to be displayed on advertising.]
Using the site
You agree not to use this site to break the law, to submit information that is not yours to submit, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or to scrape, copy or republish its content without permission.
Information you submit
Information you send through our forms must be accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. Quotes and applications built on inaccurate information may be re-rated or declined by a carrier. Handling of what you submit is described in our Privacy Policy.
Content ownership
The text, layout, design and original graphics on this site belong to The Stewart Brokerage. You may read and print pages for your own use in evaluating coverage. You may not republish them commercially without written permission.
Third-party links
We link to carrier and government sites for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or accuracy.
Availability
We aim to keep this site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or current at every moment. Plan details and pricing change frequently. Always confirm specifics with us before acting on them.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, The Stewart Brokerage is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including obligations owed to you as a licensed insurance producer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. [REVIEW: confirm the correct governing state and venue with counsel.]
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
